Bolton confront Blackpool in Sky Bet League One on Monday, live on Sky Sports Football.
New signing Joseph Dodoo will make his debut for Bolton. The striker, who spent last season at Blackpool on loan, was a free agent after his contract with Rangers died and he has signed a deal before the end of the season.
Daryl Murphy left his debut against Portsmouth last weekend and suffered no adverse response so may be contained again. Jake Wright (hamstring) and Chris OGrady (knee) will be checked.
Blackpool are waiting to check whether Nathan Delfouneso, Sullay Kaikai and Joe Nuttall will be fit. These are being closely monitored, and also boss Simon Grayson is expecting the game being set back into Monday night could enable a minumum of one of the trio to be included.
The Seasiders will probably be without Jordan Thompson who is on international duty with Northern Ireland. It had been turned down although the team did put to join his country after the game.
The results of winless Bolton have started to pick up under Keith Hill and theyve picked up two points from their last three league matches, including Sunderland and Oxford to 0-0 and 1-1 pulls, respectively. Their past League One outing resulted in a narrow 1-0 loss away at Portsmouth, even though they held Rochdale at the Leasing.com Trophy on Tuesday.
Blackpool led the division but defeats to Coventry and MK Dons attracted them down a notch. Simon Graysons men have bounced back at the last 3 games, though. They drew 1-1 away to Accrington overcome Doncaster 1-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium and then scored two inside the first 25 minutes in a 2-1 win at home.
Bolton manager Keith Hill: TBC
Blackpool manager Simon Grayson:We now understand what personnel theyve got and what theyve been playing lately. They have had some excellent effects with the stronger and greater squad in the past few weeks they have got.
I mentioned a couple of weeks ago its a strange position to be at where some clubs will probably be moaning its a guaranteed three factors at the early portion of the season. But other teams down the bottom will probably be saying theyre happy as it gives them a fighting chance to stay in the division with Bolton not picking up points.
They stay without a win and are 18 points from safety as it sounds out, but Boltons newly-assembled team is starting to gel. Gone are such early season thumpings at the palms of Rotherham, Ipswich, Gillingham and Tranmere; beneath Keith Hill, there is a solidity in the back, using three goals conceded in their last four in all competitions.
Taking things one thing at a time is key, but if he can begin to get his troops shooting, there could be plenty of Wanderers fans. The danger of relegation is a fact but a consequence than losing the club as a whole, as was virtually the event this summer, digestible. Then again, stranger things have happened…
Bolton are unbeaten in their last 12 home games in all competitions from Blackpool (W8 D4), scoring in every encounter and maintaining seven blank sheets.
Seven of the previous nine league matches involving Blackpool and Bolton have ended flat, with both sides claiming a success each.
Bolton are winless in their last 16 league games (D3 L13)and they continue went on a longer streak without victory in December 2015 (17).
Blackpool have dropped one of their past six league off trips (W2 D3), and are unbeaten in their past two.
Four for Blackpool of the five league goals of Armand Gnanduillet have been headers this year; the maximum of any player in the branch.
Bolton may never have won a game this season, but their past three League One fixtures have been demanding and they are not getting hammered by five or even six in order they are on the right path.
Blackpool are back on the up, having chosen seven points in their past 3 games. I believe theyll be the winners on Monday night.
David Prutton predicts: 1-2 (15/2 with Sky Bet)
