Flames vs. Kings NHL Pick – October 19th

Since they embark on a brief road trip in the shore, the Calgary Flames will likely be out west the following two days. They will head to Anaheim following this one in Los Angeles, so that they dont have to move far to find their next competitor. The Flames will have a day off to prepare for some matchup against the Washington Capitals in Alberta on Tuesday. They are coming from a monster performance against the Detroit Red Wings. About an 8-2 run in their two matches, the Flames are between the Flyers and Red Wings game.
This really is really a game which some of us will see as a snare game. The Flames are feeling great after wins against the Flyers and Red Wings, so they enter LA to a Saturday night to play an inferior Kings team. The Kings looked like themselves together with declines of 3-0 and 2-0 while the last two games flew. They have won just one of their last four games and are on a three-game losing streak. Since the Predators amazed having a 7-4 score the win did not resemble a typical Kings match.
Were going to see results such as the last two games in the Kings. 7 goals in a week will be tricky for the Kings to achieve, never mind requesting that from these at a night. The Kings ended 30th in the NHL with 2.43 goals per game.
Expecting them to go from 0 to 100 without too much change roster wise isnt likely to take place. A deficiency of offence is expected, but the goaltending playing with this bad along with Jonathan Quick is not. Playing out of his mind really is and it is going to be hard for this to come into fruition if his effort so far is any indicator. Head below for our free Flames vs. Kings pick.
Jack Campbell has by far been the better choice between the pipes for the Kings. The Kings are not going to give up on Quick after what he has done for this franchise, in case Quick continues to battle, but there could be a changing of the guard in the crease. There are other cases in Washington together with Ilya Samsonov and Braden Holtby, like across the league of the potentially happening as well.
Quick is listed as probable to get the nod against the Flames tonight. He owns a well-intentioned 6.44 GAA and 0.793 save percentage in three outings. In three games he has granted a whopping 19 objects, which is triggering the alarm. There really isnt much inspiration for Quick on the Kings. He has won two Stanley Cups and that Kings team isnt going anywhere. Jack Campbell on the other hand may have something to prove, however.
The Kings are dead last in the NHL with 4.43 objects allowed per game. If it werent for Campbell that amount will be in another stratosphere. And besides the offensive surge against the Predators, their offence has been held in check. Subtract the Nashville sport and the Kings have scored only 2 goals per match.
The Kings most recent meeting against the Flames in LA was a disaster. They were dismissed by a score of 7-2 in April. After giving up 7 goals on 25 shots, quick was pulled. If the Flames do not overlook the Kings on Saturday and take this game , then they likely head into Anaheim to a three-game win series. Im not going to try and overthink this 1 tonight and go for a unit in Tinseltown with the Flames.
